Lofty Living in Shades of Grey

I was clearly working hard at my summer office job today ;3 I spent a decent portion of my time looking at some gorgeous images online to compile the first of my 'lookbooks'. I love to come up with themes and paste images in collages to give me inspiration. This is how I'd love to decorate my loft-to-be. I adore the grey shades and the beautiful grandfather clock is such a stunning piece! The upholstered Louis XVI-style chair is beautiful as well (I would love to purchase the one pictured, but at a whopping $2500 it blows over half my budget). An antique clock, chandeliers, weathered woods, stripes - what more *could* you want in a room? I love the nostalgic feel.

The loft-apartment I am hoping to purchase is essentially two rooms, a main room that combines kitchen/dining/living/office, and a bedroom (+attached bathroom). It's going to be difficult to arrange all of those functional points within one theme, and it needs to flow perfectly together to make the space appear as large as possible. I have wall height going for me as the ceilings are at a soaring 14'4" (!) so I'm looking forward to an impressive cluster wall :3 . I'm know that this rather feminine touch will clash with the industrial loft look (a lot of exposed concrete/silver pipes) - I'm hoping that the two styles will be at such obvious odds with each other that they'll end up working deliciously well together.

I'm trying hard to stay under budget. The clock (I'm delighted to say that I've found a very similar piece to the one pictured) will go for around $600.00 and will be the focal point of the whole room. I'm hoping to add a cluster wall behind the grey & white striped couch that will include a few vintage pieces, some pictures, perhaps even an antique wooden shutter. I'll post a mock-up as soon as I've finished laying it down <3
